Risk assessment represents an estimate of the health consequences of a potentially harmful event, in terms of the probability that such consequences occur.
Site-specific risk assessment (AdR) connected to a contaminated site is currently one of the most advanced procedures for assessing the degree of contamination of an area and defining intervention priorities and methods. Our technicians carry out these analyses using dedicated software for mathematical modelling of “source–migration–target” pathways in order to define Risk Threshold Concentrations (CSR) and remediation objectives.
The Operational Remediation Project (POB) is the technical-procedural document that details the safety and remediation measures for a contaminated site, based on a site-specific risk assessment that defines objectives and technologies to be adopted. Approved by the competent authorities, the POB includes the description of actions, timelines, estimated costs and environmental monitoring plans to reduce pollutant concentrations to acceptable levels.
